Nick Duckart( born Nicholas Mitchell Duckardt) is an actor/singer/dancer born and raised in Hialeah, Florida. The youngest of four boys, Nick is the product of an Italian mother and Argentine father. He began performing in high school, having appeared in plays such as GODSPELL, YOU CANT TAKE IT WITH YOU, SIDE BY SIDE BY SONDHEIM, and more. He then continued his studies at Miami-Dade Honors College, where he continued his training under Ellen Davis, Karen Martin and Deborah Mello. Nick then obtained his BFA in Musical Theatre from New World School of the Arts, where some of his favorite credits include: THE PAJAMA GAME, URINETOWN, TITANIC: THE MUSICAL, BIG LOVE, MARAT/SADE, among others. He trained under Patrice Bailey, Andrew Noble, David Kwiat, Stuart Meltzer, Chesne Ryman-Mettinger, James Randolph, Gail Garrisan, Liz Malm and Edward Rozinsky.
Professionally, Nick has has the pleasure to work at some of the best regional theatres in the country, including: LaJolla Playhouse, The Marjorie Little Theatre, Florida Stage, Actors' Playhouse, Gulfshore Playhouse, GableStage, Caldwell Theatre Co.,City Theatre, Mad Cat Theatre, Mosaic Theatre, and Palm Beach Dramaworks. He is a member of the workshop ensemble of the new Desmond Child/Davitt Sigerson/Jeffrey Hatcher musical, CUBA LIBRE, where he portrays Fidel Castro. Nick is a recipient of the Carbonell Award, Silver Palm Award, and The Miami Herald Silver Knight Award in Drama.
TV credits include numerous commercials, as well as a guest spot on USA Networks popular series, BURN NOTICE.
Nick is a member of Actors Equity Association, as well as a proud company member of the Miami-based theatre troupe, Zoetic Stage. www.zoeticstage.com
